Underrated and Rising : Dallas Neighborhood Gems

With some many people moving into the Dallas metroplex, some neighborhoods have taken on a whole new persona, and some are just as tried and true as they have always been.  Depending on what your looking for whether it be location to work, school districts, affordability, or the neighborhood overall, finding the best neighborhood for your family is a bit of a daunting task.  So with that said, I'll do you a solid and showcase a few spot's each week around the city, you may or may not have know to be an overall great space to build and grow.

Lochwood | Northeast Dallas

Known for its lush greenery and large lot sizes, Lochwood sits just northeast of White Rock Lake. The short commute to the city while still maintaining privacy and a slower laid back lifestyle makes Lochwood a ideal neighborhood, combining the best of both worlds.  Its close proximity to Lower Grenville and the M Streets allows for the progressive culture to trickle into the tight knit community.  The crime rate is dramatically lower than its surrounding neighbors which is always a good thing, safety first.

Lochwood homes are reminiscent of the 1950's and 1970's and new homes being built with sleek contemporary lines and eye catching architecture. Notably an up and coming neighborhood, the cost of homes in the area are very appealing to younger families establishing themselves.

There is never a shortage of things to do.  Just a few blocks away you can choose from the many activities White Rock Lake has to offer. If your looking for more of an active nightlife, Grenville Ave. is just around the way, while having easy access to Uptown Dallas.
